Beaches at the coast of Jæren
There are amazing beaches with sand or rolling stones, and the area is one of Norways prime surfing spots, though waves are not guaranteed in July: cold water and wind are.
City of Stavanger
This old boom and bust city is just about to celebrate 900 years, with the renovation of the old stone cathredral (aka it's likely closed) and has a charming old town with typical coastal wooden city scale of narrow alleys, cute and friendly shops and cafes. Østervåg and Pedersgata are gems for Vintage shopping, and Østre bydel has all the architect offices and vibes.
Fjords
Norway is known for it's fjords, and no place has probably been more advertised than the Pulpit Rock loomig over Lysefjorden. It is now only a short ride from Stavanger, and we plan to go there on monday 21st.
Kjerag: For those who want to have a bit more of a hike and challenge, the Kjerag boulder is another destination that is worth a visit - bride was first up there at age 10 and would not recommend to take anyone younger, at least not in the pouring rain.
There are also other countless other trails and hikes, from cute and wonderous to breathtaking spectacular. Check routes at: https://ut.no/.
